A Chinese takeaway owner has been fined £47,000 for employing an unlawful worker with no permit to work in the United Kingdom.

The fine came after she was “discovered utilizing a migration worker at her Lisburn takeaway business” she has been fined and ordered to pay back more than £47,000 in “criminal proceeds”, the Home Office said in an announcement.

The reallocation request for £47,379.90 was conceded at Craigavon Crown Court on the 25th September against defendant Yan Yun He, 39, after an examination by Immigration Enforcement’s Criminal and Financial Investigation (CFI) group, they included.

A judge decided that the measure of the fine “was the proportioned measure of criminal advantage” that she “benefitted from maintaining her business utilising an unlawful worker”.
