# Belfast club nights: there is something on almost every night of the week

The Limelight runs a resident club night on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, alongside one-off themed nights most weekends. Here is what runs when, which room it is in, and the bits the listings do not spell out.

## About

If you are in Belfast midweek and assume nothing is on, you are wrong. The Limelight complex on Ormeau Avenue runs a resident club night four nights a week, every week, and has done for a long time.

### The weekly residents

All of these are 18+ and all of them are at 1 Ormeau Avenue, BT2 8HD.

- Mood Mondays - every Monday, from 10pm

- UFO - every Wednesday, from 10pm

- BABBA - every Thursday, from 10pm

- Bingo Loco presents Juke Box Jam - Fridays, from 6pm

The 6pm Friday start on Bingo Loco is the odd one out and worth noticing. Everything else here begins at ten, which catches people who are used to arriving at nine and finding a queue.

### The one-offs around them

Alongside the residents, the weekends fill with themed nights. In the next few weeks that includes Just Like Heaven, an alt-80s night in Limelight 2 on Friday 25 September at 10.30pm, and The Big Limelight Emo Club Night in the same room on Saturday 26 September at 10pm. Into October there is Mean Girls: The Club Night on Saturday 3 October, a One Direction party on Friday 9 October, Off Campus VS Heated Rivalry on Friday 16 October, and a Bad Bunny party on Friday 23 October.

### Three things the listings do not tell you

They sell out, and not always the ones you would expect. At the time of writing, the Saturday 26 September BABBA and the 30+ Club on Saturday 3 October were both already gone, as was Limewired on 16 October. The resident weeknights are the reliable ones.

Check the age policy, not just the door time. Most nights are 18+, but some are not. The 26 September BABBA is 21+ and the 30+ Club is exactly what it says. Turning up at the wrong one with the wrong ID is a wasted taxi.

There are three rooms and they are not the same size. Limelight 1 and Limelight 2 are separate venues within one building, and the Rock Garden is the rooftop terrace attached to Katy's Bar. Your ticket says which. On a busy Friday there can be three entirely different events running at once.

### Checked and dated

All of the above was taken from the Limelight's own listings on 23 September 2026. Club listings change constantly, nights get added and pulled, and prices are not published far in advance. Confirm on the venue's site before you make plans around any of it.
